Pay: $90,020 – $134,000 per year. Total compensation may also include bonuses, equity, and benefits.
About the Role
This opportunity is for a Software Engineer who will help design and build a scalable automated testing framework for a real-time, high-throughput software platform. The role combines software development, test automation, code review, quality engineering, and technical research.
You will contribute to testing projects intended for long-term use across multiple products while working closely with engineers in an agile product development environment. The platform processes more than 300 billion events per day and uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to automate and simplify digital campaign workflows.
What You’ll Do
- Contribute to the design and development of an automated testing framework intended to support products for years to come.
- Deliver timely results in alignment with team deadlines.
- Design clear, maintainable, and scalable testing projects.
- Design and execute a complex automated testing platform for a real-time, high-throughput software ecosystem.
- Write optimized code and address performance and scalability challenges.
- Maintain transparency around testing activities through clear documentation and stakeholder communication.
- Conduct meaningful code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback.
- Research emerging technologies and evaluate their potential value for current and future projects.
- Serve as a strong advocate for software quality within collaborative agile product teams.
- Help ensure every production deployment meets high quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams using modern development, testing, and automation technologies.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals.
- At least 2 years of experience with Java, multithreading, and microservices architecture.
- Strong coding skills and practical experience with Java, Spring, and JUnit.
- Understanding of the Agile software development lifecycle.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
- Ability to design maintainable, scalable, and reliable automated testing solutions.
- Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and respectful environment where different perspectives are valued and supported.
- Thoughtful approach to collaboration, technical design, and decision-making that supports equity, accessibility, and continuous learning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience building backend test automation solutions using Claude Code and Google Cloud Platform.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced product development environment.
