Specialized Experience: One year of Specialized Experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service which includes supporting division operations, participating in complex projects, and overseeing joint concept training development, testing, wargaming, and implementation. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral Communication Technical Competence Training and Education Analysis Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements and minimum qualification requirements prescribed by OPM within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
About the Position: As a Training Specialist (Joint Concepts), you will advocate for joint concept development, testing, wargaming, and implementation; AND support USSOUTHCOM Joint Lessons Learned Program, training assessments, Joint Training Plans, and joint doctrine collaboration and updates. This position is located at the Exercises and Coalition Affairs Directorate, Training and Exercises Division in Miami, Florida.
