Budget Analyst (Title 32) (Temporary Not to Exceed One Year)

WHO CAN APPLY: GROUP I – All qualified Male/Female Enlisted Personnel (E4/SPC-E9/SGM) Warrant Officers (W1/WO1 – W5/CW5) or Commissioned Officer (O1/2LT – O3/CPT) currently employed (permanent) in the Virginia Army National Guard Military Technician Program. GROUP II – All qualified Virginia Army National Guard Male/Female Enlisted Personnel (E4/SPC-E9/SGM) Warrant Officers (W1/WO1 – W5/CW5) or Commissioned Officer (O1/2LT – O3/CPT) regardless of employment status (Traditional, Military Technician or AGR). To be considered as a Group II applicant, proof of appointment/enlistment in the Virginia National Guard must be attached if the appointment/enlistment occurred within 60 days prior to, or during, the advertisement period. Military Grades: Enlisted Personnel (E4/SPC-E9/SGM), Warrant Officers (W1/WO1 – W5/CW5) or Commissioned Officer (O1/2LT – O3/CPT) GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have experience serving as the budget analyst and consultant for the management and administration of all budget programs within the organization. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have at least 12 months of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-7 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. This experience must include activities such as: Experience in serving as the functional point of contact for day-to-day budget/financial issues. Experience in performing budget formulation work involving review and preparation of budget estimates and financial plans. Experience in performing budget execution and administration work involving the monitoring of obligations incurred and the actual expenditures of funds. Experience in providing advice, assistance, and guidance on budgeting and related information and conducts analyses, reviews and special studies of budget and/or related information.
