While specific TRAINING SPECIALIST (GS-1712 series) specialized experience is not required for detail assignments, Training Specialist experience relevant to the duties described in the Qualification Standards for the position is desired. Examples of Experience: applying training principles, techniques, and practices to plan, analyze, design, develop, evaluate, and modify training materials and activities (e.g., Instructional System Design, training technology advancements, corporate training initiatives) in support of an organizational training program and courses. Demonstrating background in Shipyard production work experience providing essential insights and perspectives on training the target audience of trainee instructors. This is a detail opportunity open to Department of Navy permanent civilian employees in the competitive service currently at the GS-11 grade level (or higher). The selectee will be placed on a temporary detail not to exceed 365 days. The detailee for this position will serve as a person in the PRODUCTION RESOURCES TRAINING DIVISION, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
