To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, applicants must have one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience includes the following: Identifying, extracting, collection, analyzing, and management of data and information from a wide variety of internal sources as corporate data systems, electronic medical record, data collection tools, and surveys, and external data sources. Standardizing, harmonizing, and converging on the design, build, validation, deployment and maintenance of health data, information, analytics, and reporting within electronic health record (EHR) and associated health information technology. Exercising initiative, working efficiently and collaborating effectively with its field, and program office stakeholders as well as end users of products developed with complex and competing activities such as constant changes to the technologies used, improving HER usability, and increased and competing demands for more products to be developed. Analyzing, designing, development, quality assurance, validation, and support of products and projects assigned. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. NOTE: Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level. Progressively responsible analytical or administrative, or clinical management or supervisory experience in the health care field. This work may have been performed in an operating health care facility or a higher organizational echelon with advisory or directional authority over such facilities. Work must have involved a close working relationship with facility managers and analysis and/or coordination of administrative, clinical, or other service activities, and provided knowledge of the following: Missions, organizations, programs, and requirements of health care delivery systems; Regulations and standards of various regulatory and credentialing groups; and Government-wide, agency, and facility systems and requirements in various administrative areas such as budget, personnel, and procurement. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
