AIRCRAFT FUEL SYSTEMS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience or training which demonstrates your knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles; knowledge of troubleshooting procedures used to isolate malfunctions in aircraft pneudraulic systems; and ability to use technical manuals, equipment specifications, and test calibration procedures in performing the work. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least Thirty-Six (36) months of journeyman level knowledge, experience demonstrating the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments of lower grade personnel; experience which required the review of work requirements and establishing priorities to meet deadlines; experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function.; experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes; experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES: 1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. 2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. 3. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. *4. Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. 5. THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This position is to supervise workers on a day-to-day or project-by-project basis, either directly or through one or more subordinate leaders, in accomplishing the work operations of the organizational segment or work shift and to perform associated nonsupervisory work. DEFINITION OF AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION: Area 1 = Officer and Enlisted members of the Louisiana National Guard.
