Current Department of Army Civilian Employees Applying on Time-Limited Assignments In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates experience in designing adult training and/or education programs for both military and civilian personnel; coordinating training programs with education personnel; AND evaluating training issues that impact the directorate. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education / Training Program Administration Leadership Oral Communication Training and Education Analysis Writing Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). NOTE: All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcement.
About the Position: The primary purpose of this position is to oversee a team of specialists in the direct coordination, development, and implementation of new and emerging topics and curriculum into Professional Military Education courses. This announcement is for current, permanent Army employees that would like to be considered for a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade.
