Construction Control Representative

Basic Requirement for a Construction Control Representative, GS-0809-11: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes serving as an Construction Control Representative, implementing Quality Assurance Program and monitoring contractor’s Quality Control and Inspection, studying or interpreting plans while initiating actions for correctness, preparing daily Quality Assurance Reports and compiling data for pay estimates, conducting interviews with contract employees to ensure compliance with labor standards AND reviewing or evaluating contractor safety requirements to ensure compliance with District Safety Program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone–no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
About the Position: Serves as a Construction Control Representative, incumbent is responsible for implementing the governments Quality Assurance Program and monitoring the contractors quality control and inspection program for assigned construction projects. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for certain personnel of the DoD workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
