Minimum Qualification Requirements You may meet the minimum qualifications for the GS-13, if you possess the specialize experience, education, or a combination of the two. Specialized Experience for the GS-13 One year of experience in either federal or non-federal service that is equivalent to at least a GS-12 performing two (2) out of three (3) of the following duties or work assignments: 1. Experience in conducting detailed analysis and interpretation of regulations directly related to the accreditation of higher education institutions and programs. 2. Experience preparing or reviewing and evaluating documentation related to the accreditation of institutions and programs. 3. Experience communicating both orally and in writing with individuals at various organizational levels. OR EDUCATION (see EDUCATION SECTION of the vacancy announcement) OR A combination of both education and experience in which the total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) The quality of your experience will be measured by the extent to which you possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs). Ability to write clear and succinct analysis of regulatory compliance. 2. Ability to communicate orally and in writing with individuals at organizational levels and from different types of organizations and cultures. 3. Ability to analyze complex information.
The position is telework eligible consistent with the Agency’s telework and remote work program policy. This position is located in the Department of Education, Office of Postsecondary Education (OPE), Policy, Planning and Innovation Division (PPI), Accreditation Group located in Washington, DC. This position performs professional work for an educationally related program directed towards improving American Education.
