You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Registration Requirement: Applicants must have active, current registration as a professional nurse in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. AND Education requirement: Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed by the applicant. AND Specialized experience for the GS-14 is one (1) year of experience at the GS-13 level, or equivalent that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes: -Providing leadership and direction of a healthcare inspection team ensuring support in quality improvement and patient care issues for a regional or comparable sized office; AND -Performing in-depth reviews and evaluations of quality improvement procedures, patient care, inspections, and oversight projects in a healthcare environment and in conformance with Federal regulations. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a nontemporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
