To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level: Leading diverse teams in environmental compliance, planning, conservation, and restoration; Providing oversight and expertise in Environmental Management, Cultural Resources Management, Energy/Water Management, Environmental Compliance, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Natural Resources Management, Remediation, or Sustainability; Developing, planning, or implementing policy as well as effective communication with regulatory bodies at all levels and with organizational leadership. Serves as the Chief of the Environmental Management Division at NASA Ames Research Center. The primary focus of the role is to oversee the execution of various elements of the environmental program, including local policy creation, planning, implementation, monitoring, and review. Also, the individual is responsible for overseeing the allocation of resources for planning, development, coordination, and direction of operations aimed at evaluating the environmental impact of aerospace activities.
