Emergency Medical Technician (Motor Vehicle Operator)

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes responding to accidents and other emergencies, operating an emergency vehicle and conducting preliminary assessments of patients. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Licensure/Certification: Initial hires may be made with a valid state Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification; however, incumbent must obtain and maintain a National Registry EMT certification within 52 weeks of the date-of-hire.
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: In addition to the first responder duties and responsibilities, follows protocols in providing basic life support. Position may be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 4 years. Term appointments may be extended beyond of six (6) years, up to eight (8) years.
