Specialized Experience Requirements Specialized experience for the GS-13: You must have one (1) year of specialized experience that has equipped you with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service, public or other private sectors. Specialized experience includes ALL of the following: – Meeting with trial attorneys and professional administrative staff to discuss and gather case requirements: AND – Applying knowledge of automated litigation support applications and best practices, concepts, methods, and procedures to carry out case support; AND – Experience with document review platforms, such as Relativity, to provide guidance capturing relevant case data from a document collection: AND – Experience with the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) for eDiscovery processing and case support. Specialized experience for the GS-12: You must have one (1) year of specialized experience that has equipped you with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes ALL of the following: – Meeting with trial attorneys and professional administrative staff to discuss and gather case requirements; AND – Applying knowledge of automated litigation support applications and best practices, concepts, methods, and procedures to carry out case support; AND – Developing a plan to review and process data to create a database. In order to be rated as qualified for this position, we must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement – please be sure to include this information in your resume. To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade of the position to be filled. Specialized experience is defined as experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. This position is located in the Civil Rights Divisions (Division), Administrative Management Section (ADM). As a Litigation Support Specialist, you will be an expert in Electronic Discovery and litigation support activities and manages the litigation technology and support components associated with one or more complex and highly technical cases and/or projects, as dictated by project requirements and staffing levels within the Division.
