To qualify for the 2210 IT Specialist series, applicants must demonstrate the following competencies: must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate. In addition, to qualify for the GS-13, applicant must have 52 weeks of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the GS-12 level in the Federal government that is in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This IT-related experience must include designing, developing, coordinating efforts, and providing technical guidance in implementing applications to support data administration or enterprise reference data management initiatives. Serves as a recognized technical authority and expert in the Office of Systems Architecture (OSA) in a specialty area e.g., architecture and data administration, database systems, software engineering infrastructure, systems engineering, usability; accessibility; systems security; configuration management; validation technology; systems process improvement; quality assurance, IT training, etc.
