LEAD FIREFIGHTER (BASIC LIFE SUPPORT)

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Leading firefighters in firefighting and rescue operations; 2) Performing structural duties for a variety of facilities that may include research and/or large industrial complexes; 3) Driving and operating firefighting vehicles such as pumpers, aerial ladder trucks, and rescue vehicles; 4) Utilizing hazardous materials response procedures and equipment; 5) Performing basic life support and non-invasive emergency procedures to stabilize patients. NOTE: This experience must be supported by your resume to be considered for this position. This position requires the possession of the following certifications: Firefighter I and II, HAZMAT Operations, Driver/Operator-Pumper, National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT), Fire Officer I, Fire Instructor I, Fire Inspector I, and NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800. These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard to meet the requirement. NOTE: If you do not possess the above certifications and provide with your application, you will be rated ineligible. The following certification, if not already held, must be obtained within 12 months of hire as mandatory condition of position: Driver Operator Aerial. You will serve as a LEAD FIREFIGHTER (BASIC LIFE SUPPORT) in the NAVY FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES of NVSUPPACTMID SOUTH.
