MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). Online resumes must demonstrate qualification by providing specific examples and associated results, in response to the announcement’s mandatory criteria specified in this vacancy announcement: 1. Demonstrated experience in the Adjudications process such as; but not limited to analyzing cases using the whole-person concept and the adjudicative guidelines in SEAD4, drafting a Statement of Reasons and summarizing unmitigated information in a Letter of Denial/Revocation. 2. Demonstrated knowledge in the key executive orders, policies, regulations, and guidelines that influence the personnel security methodology. 3. Demonstrated experience in evaluating, interpreting, and analyzing reports of investigations, applying adjudicative guidelines, and in rendering eligibility determinations for access to classified information. 4. Demonstrated experience collaborating with internal and external customers to achieve mission requirements. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A. Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. -OR- B. Combination of Education and Experience: A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in any area listed in option A, plus experience or training in adjudication, investigations, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of coursework is equivalent to one year of experience. Candidates should show that their combination of education and experience totals 4 years. -OR- C. Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience or training in adjudication, investigations, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. -AND- LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Must obtain Adjudicator Professional Certification (APC) within 24 months. Must obtain Due Process Adjudicator Professional Credential (DPAPC) within 48 months. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired: 1. Demonstrated knowledge with the federal investigative standards and adjudication process within the Intelligence Community or Department of Defense. 2. Demonstrated experience within an Intelligence Community’s Personnel Security or Counterintelligence functional area. 3. Desired certifications, such as Adjudicator Professional Certification (APC); Due Process Adjudicator Professional Credential (DPAPC) and/or Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC).
Adjudicators evaluate reports of investigations, interpret and apply adjudicative guidelines, and render eligibility determinations for access to classified information consistent with the interests of National Security. They also work with NGA organizations and external investigative and adjudicative agencies to identify and resolve personnel security-related issues.
