TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER

This is an interdisciplinary position and may be filled by a Mechanical Engineer (0830-series), a Computer Engineer (0854-series), an Electronics Engineer (0855-series), or a Computer Scientist (1550-series) depending upon the qualifications of the candidate. To Qualify for the ND-05 Position: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-4 (GS-12/13 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional Engineer or Scientist leading or managing programs or project teams to establish technical objectives or engineering approaches (e.g. risk management, scope, schedules, deliverables, task assignments, or cost estimates etc.) for ongoing technical execution of project teams and meeting milestones. To Qualify for the ND-04 Position: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-3 (GS-09/11 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional Engineer or Scientist supporting programs or projects to provide assistance with technical objectives or engineering approaches (e.g. risk management, scope, schedules, deliverables, task assignments, or cost estimates etc.) for meeting project milestones. You will serve as a TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER in the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Code 159 Program Office of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV NEWPORT RI. You will serve as the Technical Project Manager (TPM) in the Undersea Acoustic Communications area working within the NUWC Code 159 Program Office. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15 and the ND-4 encompasses GS-12 and GS-13.
