IT Specialist (INFOSEC)

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies; knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. OPM QUALIFICATION STANDARD: OPM Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Information Technology (IT) Management 2210 Series(Alternative A) AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Improving IT management effectiveness and delivering results to customers; Providing leadership and oversight, ensuring efficient and effective execution and development of Authority to Operate (ATO) development and management processes; and Collaborating with system owners, stakeholders, and IT Security personnel to gather necessary information, assess security controls, and document findings.
