Source Protection Analyst (Government Wide)

In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: 1. Demonstrated ability to master use of IT systems, with focus on systems that store and process data. Knowledge of systems currently in use by the National Materials Program is desirable. (Examples may include specific training, education, and work experience that demonstrate knowledge and skills in the area of data system use and data management.) 2. Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders (e.g., customers, co-workers) to accomplish tasks. (Examples may include experience that demonstrates an ability to establish a healthy rapport with co-workers and other stakeholders to accomplish tasks.) 3. Demonstrated ability to independently manage and perform projects and tasks. (Candidates should be specific in describing the breadth and depth of their experience with respect to independently performing projects and tasks. Candidates should describe their experience in performing time-sensitive projects which resulted in high-quality results.) Specialized experience is described as: GG-09: Experience and familiarity with National Source Tracking System (NSTS), Web Based Licensing System (WBL). GG-11: Basic knowledge, ability, and experience in use of data management systems and ensuring data quality specific to the National Source Tracking System (NSTS). Familiarity with Web Based Licensing System (WBL) and Sealed Source and Device Registry sufficient to navigate systems. GG-12: Knowledge, ability, and specific experience in use of data management systems and ensuring data quality specific to the National Source Tracking System (NSTS). Familiarity with Web Based Licensing System (WBL) and Sealed Source and Device Registry sufficient to navigate systems. GG-13: Substantive knowledge, ability, and specific experience in use of data management systems and ensuring data quality specific to the National Source Tracking System (NSTS). Sufficient knowledge of Web Based Licensing System (WBL) and Sealed Source and Device Registry to navigate systems for data verification.
This position is located in the Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards, Division of Materials Safety, Security, State, and Tribal Programs, Source Materials Protection Branch. The supervisor is Steve Wyman This position is Bargaining Unit with the National Treasury Employees Union, Chapter 208 This position IS not subject to Confidential Financial Disclosure reporting requirements. This position IS subject to security ownership restriction reporting requirements at the GG-13.
