GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, education or training in managing or directing, one or more programs, including appropriate supporting service organizations; managerial, professional or technical work experience and/or training which has provided knowledge of management principles, practices, methods and techniques; experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least One (1) year of specialized experiences at the GS-11 level; AND/OR at least Thirty-six (36) months experience analyzing problems, identifying significant factors, gathering pertinent data and recognizing solutions; preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence; evaluating objectives and develop plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of various resources; have knowledge of the organization and its mission and utilized the organizational staff procedures; experience applying analytical and evaluative techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations carried out by administrative or professional personnel, or substantive administrative support functions. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES: 1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. 2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. 3. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. 4. Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. 5. The duties and responsibilities of your job may significantly impact the environment. You are responsible to maintain awareness of your environmental responsibilities as dictated by legal and regulatory requirements, your organization, and its changing mission. 6. This is a National Guard dual status technician position which requires military membership.
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This is a provisional position description that projects duties and responsibilities associated with the Joint Staff. This position is located in the Joint Force Headquarters-State, Strategic Plans, Policy, and Interagency Interoperability Directorate, (JDOMS). DEFINITION OF AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION: Area 1 = Officer (O4 – O3) members of the Louisiana National Guard.
