IT Specialist (INFOSEC) (Cyber Security Officer)

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year and indicate number of hours worked per week on your résumé. Specialized experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes developing, testing, implementing, securing, and hosting IT resources. Such experience must include ALL of the following: – Experience identifying IT systems and security problems to identify weaknesses, develop and evaluate options, and implement solutions; AND – Experience administering computer system networks, and designing and evaluating operations in IT Security environments; AND – Experience generating reports of IT threats and vulnerabilities and managing systems that provide these reports; AND – Experience with networking concepts, configuring security tools, executing scans, evaluating scan results and providing assistance with remediation. AND For all IT positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. – Attention to Detail, such as reviewing and assisting with security audit assessment requirements and/or vulnerability scanning. – Customer Service, such as incident handling and response, and providing support both operational and technical. – Oral Communication, such as developing and conducting presentations and provides one-on-one briefings to internal and external leadership and management. – Problem Solving, such as complex change requests including firewall and network changes, evaluating URL requests and troubleshooting IT security problems.

As an IT Specialist (INFOSEC) (Cyber Security Officer), you will be responsible for Bureau-Wide asset protection, including Fiscal Agents and Franchise customers.
