To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements: Basic Requirements: Education: A doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. AND Licensure: Applicants also must be licensed to practice pharmacy in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. NOTE: ALL applicants MUST upload proof of current, active and unrestricted license for verification at the time you apply. All qualified referred candidates will undergo a credentialing process prior to employment with the Bureau of Prisons. This process includes validation of examinations, licensure, education, internship and residency. AND Education: There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position. Experience: You must have at least one year of professional pharmacy experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled. Some examples of experience are: Experience providing oversight and mentoring to institution Chief Pharmacist at the institution level. Experience in ensuring the delivery of pharmaceutical care services are in accordance with Bureau of Prisons treatment guidelines, national formulary, national policy, established standards of practice, federal law and scopes of practice consistent with licensure. Experience and professional knowledge plus thorough in depth understanding of the relationship and application of basic sciences underlying pharmaceutical care as it relates to the medication and administrative problems. Experience in assisting and conducting quality assurance reviews, staff assists, and technical assistance visits. Medical Requirement: Must be able to distinguish basic colors. If applicable, credit will be given for paid and unpaid work experience.
