Mandatory Requirements: Thorough understanding of publishing principles and practices as well as thorough knowledge of sound principles of publication design; ability to manage multiple and increasingly complex publication projects. Demonstrated editorial and grammatical acumen, as well as a thorough understanding of corporate writing standards and IC classification regulations. Experience with publishing products in hardcopy and electronic formats. Ability to perform research, solve problems creatively, and apply analytical thinking skills to identify and develop effective solutions to complex editorial and publishing problems. Ability to use desktop publishing applications. Communication skills, with emphasis on writing logically, clearly, and concisely. Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a diverse, creative, and fast-paced team environment and to efficiently manage time. Interpersonal and negotiation skills to interact effectively with customers, senior management, technical staff, and project team members. At least three years of professional experience as a publications officer or in a multimedia-related field at a national agency, federal law enforcement organization, service component, or combatant command. Desired Qualifications Extensive knowledge of document formatting, IC intranet networks, page layout and design, and publication styles. Thorough understanding of ODNI mission and structure, as well as of policy and guidance pertaining to the handling and posting of ODNI data on ODNI, IC, and public networks. A bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism or a related field.
