You must meet the Basic Requirements listed in the Qualifications section and the Specialized Experience to qualify for Administrative Officer, as described below. Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA’s) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. IN DESCRIBING YOUR EXPERIENCE, PLEASE BE CLEAR AND SPECIFIC. THIS IS IMPERATIVE IN DETERMINING IF WHETHER YOU HAVE AT LEAST ONE YEAR OF CREDITABLE SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE. DATES WILL NOT BE ASSUMED. GS-15: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal Service. Qualifying specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience include: Providing day-to-day administrative direction relative to budget and finance, human resources, space management, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), records management, and other related administrative functions; Establishing priorities and allocates shifting resources to meet the needs of the office and staff; Developing and presenting recommendations to senior-level executives and/or management officials based on analyses and evaluations of administrative and management programs / functions; Leading change management through streamlining existing procedures and developing overall process improvements which impact the organization.
This position is located in the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), Division of Management and Administrative Programs (DMAP). The purpose of the OFCCP is to enforce, for the benefit of job seekers and wage earners, the contractual promise of affirmative action and equal employment opportunity required of those who do business with the Federal government. The mission of DMAP is to provide advice on budget, administration, management, personnel, and labor/management relations.
