Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions . Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience performing routine assignments for complex DP; taskings attendant to the operations of the directorate including but not limited to personnel, manpower, and force support functions. Responds to all time sensitive tasks, while administering and managing the divisions SharePoint and shared drive sites, while also assisting the director in the management of all administrative support program functions. OR EDUCATION: master’s or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: 1 year equivalent to at least GS-7? FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to conduct studies on the efficiency and effectiveness of operations. Knowledge of the organizational structure, programs and workload relating to Personnel, Manpower, and Force Development areas. Skill in fact-finding, problem analysis, and development of concrete action plans to resolve problems. Ability to research, analyze, interpret and apply rules, regulations, and procedures. Ability to plan and organize work and meet deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the Air Force Mission and Installation Center Directorate of Personnel. Assist guidance on the administrative aspects of personnel programs, initiatives, projects and plans, ensures day-to-day operations comply with policies, and supports a variety of administrative functions and taskings.
