ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, GS-09, or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector using knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, reporting requirements, and documentation related to spill response and prevention performing duties: 1) Assisting in integrating hazardous substance planning and prevention into organizational response plans. 2) Assisting in solving problems involving hazardous substance planning and prevention. 3) Using computers to generate correspondence, reports, track data, and produce maps. 4) Using knowledge of above and under ground storage tanks standards to ensure organizational compliance. 5) Evaluating physical, chemical, and toxicological properties of hazardous materials to make decisions about spill response, reporting, and cleanup. 6) Communicating technical and programmatic information, orally and in writing, to people with varying degrees of subject matter knowledge.
