Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifications at the GS-06 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Assist with the development of vehicle maintenance scheduling; AND 2) Utilizing safety guidance to prevent issues related to support service operations; This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). OR Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: public administration, business administration, industrial engineering, industrial management, or other administrative or management fields related to the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages. Qualifications at the GS-07 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Utilizing technical guidance to ensure transportation and/or facility management standards are met; 2) Verify the completion of a checklist to ensure inspections are conducted; AND 3) Review of preventative maintenance for facilities and/or vehicles in accordance with guidance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: public administration, business administration, industrial engineering, industrial management, or other administrative or management fields related to the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. About the Position: Serves as Support Services Specialist for the U.S Army Recruiting Command (USAREC). Supports the administrative and logistical functions in the areas of Facilities and Fleet Management.
