This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: THE ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION. Your resume must show that you have the ability to perform common tasks including: 1. Knowledge of line handling, the ability to lead and direct others in the performance of tugboats operation and repair. 2. Thorough knowledge of safety and housekeeping regulations, methods, and procedures. 3. Ability to maintain Department of the Navy Craft Master Qualifications (NAVEDTRA 43499-A). 4. Possess and maintain current U.S. Coast Guard Master, 100-ton gross weight, uninspected towing vessel, near coastal, with radar observer endorsement. 5. Must be first aid and CPR qualified.
