SUPERVISORY GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with production methods, procedures, material and equipment required for Shipyard repair and overhaul of complex Navy vessels. Experience planning and managing work schedules, materials and technical work instructions to accomplish projects using supply chain organizations and procedures. Experience with material planning, identification, ordering, acquisition, and issue, as well as material technical work instructions, funding principles, and procedures necessary to organize and manage and ensure material required for each job is available when needed. Experience utilizing various leadership and mentoring techniques to achieve customer satisfaction. Experience applying new theories, concepts, and/or developments to supply problems using broad guidance such as directives issued by Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). Experience demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of core material and supply principles, as well as shipyard specific (Navy, DLA, DOD) supply chain and material policies, procedures, regulations (including budgetary) and ability to interpret/translate same Experience in analysis, assessment, forecasting/demand planning, and strategic management. You will serve as a Supervisory General Supply Specialist in the Material Sourcing Branch (Code 520.1) for the Material Sourcing Division (Code 520) in the Supply Department (Code 500) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
