QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (SHIPBUILDING)

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience utilizing basic ship types, configurations and systems to facilitate shipboard onsite inspections of failed systems/components and promoting ease of communication with cognizant civilian and military personnel. Experience demonstrating quality assurance concepts, principles and methodology to utilize in developing and implementing an effective, economical shipyard quality assurance program. Experience performing audit, investigative and analysis methods and techniques to conduct effective audits/investigations of shipyard programs, process and products to analyze results on a cumulative basis to identify quality trends. Experience demonstrating naval shipyard policies and procedures as related to functional areas such as engineering, planning, production and administration to utilize in assessing compliance with shipyard directives and developing sound recommendations for program and process improvement. You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (SHIPBUILDING) in the Quality Assurance Manager (Code 900Q), Production Department Analysis & Business Manager (Code 900A), Production Resources Department Manager (Code 901), Production Resources Department (Code 900) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
