Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have specialized experience that demonstrates ability to apply the principles of one or more specialty areas of recreation. Experience such as assisting in the planning and execution of an Outdoor Recreation program; or responsibility for a large segment of such a program is considered qualifying. Skill in planning, coordinating, and organizing Outdoor Recreation program activities. Skill in effective management of financial and physical resources and budget preparation. Subject to uncommon tour of duty, shift work, weekends, and holidays. Subject to work outside in local area in mountain terrain and river/ocean areas with variable environmental conditions such as altitude, exposure to elements, and temperature extremes. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license. Must have the ability to operate a 15-passenger van. “This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.” Position is a position of trust. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). About the position: This position will be assigned to the SLD 30/ 30 FSS/ Community Services Flight Outdoor Recreation.
