Hazardous Materials Aviation Safety Analyst

TO QUALIFY AT THE FV-I (FG/GS-13) LEVEL, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-H (FG/GS 10-12) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position to be filled, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE includes: Experience in supporting the design, development, or implementation of the safety policy and/or safety promotion components of a safety management system for aviation or hazardous materials, or equivalent functions to address data-driven risks in complex logistics or hazardous materials safety systems. TO QUALIFY AT THE FV-J (FG/GS-14) LEVEL, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-I (FG/GS-13) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position to be filled, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE includes: Experience overseeing, developing policy for or conducting transportation safety inspections or audits; experience with safety management systems, analyzing risk-based safety data; networking and building relationships with stakeholders across multiple layers of an organization, agency, or industry; and providing expert level advice, guidance, and support to senior management officials on safety matters. Serves as a Hazardous Materials Aviation Safety Analyst in the Office of Hazardous Materials Safety (AXH). Provides support with the technical aspects of the design, development, and implementation of the FAA AXH mission.
