SUPERVISORY CONTRACT SPECIALIST

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing mastery of a wide variety of contracting methods and contract types sufficient to perform pre-award, post-award, and contract price and cost analysis; 2) Applying federal contract/procurement laws, principles, policies, regulations and procedures to a wide-range of contracting methods and contract types; 3) Establishing, negotiating, administering and evaluating a wide range of contracts to satisfy procurement requirements and solve a variety of contracting problems for various types of acquisition programs at different stages in the acquisition cycle; 4) Working independently on acquisition planning, contracting price and cost analysis/cost accounting techniques; 5) Utilizing negotiation techniques, price, contract specifications, delivery dates, incentives, other terms/condition, statutes, and regulations as they apply to procurement functions; and 6) Presenting and defending business arguments to reviewers, explaining proposals of varying complexity, and developing negotiating positions for goods and services.
