Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Laborer without more than normal supervision: A. I have the ability to perform the most difficult and complex manual labor tasks to trade or craftwork .I am skilled in weight-handling devices such as electric hand trucks or lifts, pallet jacks and dollies to move very heavy loads. I have completed assignments involving several familiar processes which require remembering directions and/or sequences (e.g., mixing cement or asphalt to repair walkways). I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence. B. I have the ability to perform the full range of complex and manual labor tasks to trade or craft work. I am skilled in safely using basic hand tools such ashatchets, handsaws, and clippers. I have performed routine maintenance procedures for power equipment operated that included a visual check of the equipment, limited lubrication, cleaning/replacing air filters, and/or refueling. I have completed duties involving several distinct tasks or steps independently (e.g., unloading supplies, moving them to a specified location, and stacking them). . I work on my own initiative under general supervision subject to occasional inspection. C. I have the ability to perform common manual labor tasks to trade or craftwork . I can perform routine operator maintenance of hand tools and equipment. I have safely used industrial cleaners (typically used in households) and basic hand and yard tools and equipment, such as a rake, pitchfork, wheelbarrow, hand-pump sprayer, hand truck, shovel, push lawn mower (manual), hammer, screwdriver, wrench, and pliers. I have performed routine work assignments with little or no assistance (e.g., picking up all paper and trash around the work site three times a week). I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. D. I have the ability to perform simple manual labor tasks to trade or craft work, or I have received training on assisting with skilled trades or craftsmen byretrieving tools or materials/ holds, moves, lifts, or carry items, clean equipment and work areas. PHYSICAL EFFORT Exerts very heavy physical effort in doing such tasks as frequently lifting and moving objects weighing over 50 pounds, running power mowers on grades or pushing heavy wheelbarrow loads of concrete. WORKING CONDITIONS Works outside in all kinds of weather, and inside in areas that may be dusty, drafty, and noisy. Equipment, tools, and tasks involved at this level frequently require special care to avoid serious injuries. Work on and around river or lake structures involves hazards of falling and drowning. Work requires continuous standing, walking, and stooping.
