Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to lead or supervise as a Artillery Repairer Leader. I have the ability to perform common Artillery Repairer Leader duties. I can perform basic functions in Complex Assembly Manufacturing Solution (CAMS) at the employee level. Knowledge of quality standards and practices for combat vehicle components. Demonstrate proper work methods to meet deadlines. I have knowledge of repairs, rebuild, overhaul, and modification to the sub-assemblies of the hull/turret of M1 family of assault vehicles, Paladin vehicles and M113 vehicles. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. – Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprint reading) Ability To Lead or Supervise Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc. Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) Trouble Shooting Use of Measuring Instruments PHYSICAL EFFORT – Work involves standing for prolong periods of time up to 3 hours, working in strenuous and uncomfortable positions which may include bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, climbing and working in cramped positions. Frequently lifts and carries items weighing up to 45 pounds and puts forth similar effort in pushing, pulling, turning and positioning parts. Occasionally items being lifted will exceed 45 pounds which will require assistance from equipment and/or a two person operation in performing the task. WORKING CONDITIONS – Work is performed in building that is moderately heated, lighted and ventilated. Work is dirty and greasy and incumbent is subject to cuts and bruises from use of tools and equipment. Is exposed to hazards of moving material handling equipment, cranes, sweepers, etc. Is required to wear safety shoes.

The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.
