Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Using a variety of technical fields and engineering/scientific disciplines to coordinate the technical research of serious and complex air vehicle engineering issues; 2) Identifying, planning, evaluating and prescribing corrective action for air vehicle deficiencies/incidents to improve reliability, maintainability, survivability, interchangeability, safety, accuracy and economy; 3) Ensuring the latest advancements in engineering technology are considered and implemented in work planning by providing technical professional expertise and oversight; 4) Providing leadership, direction and guidance necessary to produce quality products in a timely and efficient manner; and 5) Maintaining effective communication with superiors, peers and subordinates regarding various engineering issues. You will serve as an AEROSPACE ENGINEER in the FST Engineering Division of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. The general responsibilities of this position is to plan, coordinate, conduct and/or provide extensive engineering expertise while supporting in-service engineering on complex Naval aircraft and/or their associated systems. The duty location of this position is Naval Air Station North Island, CA.
