Minimum Qualification Requirements: GS-11 To qualify for the GS-11 position, you must meet the A, B, or C defined below. Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS-11, you must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience is defined as demonstrated experience: 1. Assisting in the preparation of written and verbal advice to managers and employees on issues (i.e. outside employment gift acceptance, fundraising, lobbying, political activities, nepotism, etc.). 2. Assisting in managing an electronic financial disclosure system and the public financial disclosure reporting process. 3. Assisting in preparing communication materials for filers regarding their financial disclosure reports; reviewing public and confidential financial disclosure reports and preparing them for approval; researching the laws, regulations and policies that govern the financial interests; and assisting in preparing and developing training ethics related training materials. MUST MEET at least 2 of 3. -OR- Education: A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree -OR- 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree. -OR- LL.M., if related -OR- Combination: A combination of successfully completed equivalent education and experience. GS-12 To qualify for the GS-12 position, you must meet the specialized experience defined below. To qualify for the GS-12, you must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To qualify for the GS-13, you must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience is defined as demonstrated experience: 1. Advising employees on ethics statutes and policies. 5. Conducting and preparing Ethics Training programs. MUST MEET at least 4 of 5. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
