To qualify for this position at the FV-E, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-D, FG/GS-5/6 level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience for the FV-E is: Planning and accomplishing basic and routine tasks in support of administrative programs; utilizing automated systems to track, reconcile and report data; compiling and analyzing data; preparing and managing documents and supporting the office in the areas of financial support, personnel matters, personal property, travel administration and other office programs. To qualify for this position at the FV-F, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-E, FG/GS-7/8 level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience for the FV-F is: Planning and managing the office’s daily administrative functions; maintaining automated systems to record, reconcile, validate, and track data; identifying and resolving discrepancies; performing various analytical studies; interpreting and providing guidance; and performing multiple and varying assignments in the areas of financial support, personnel matters, personal property, travel administration, and other office programs. NOTE: The position may be filled at the FV-E or FV-F. This position is being announced separately at the FV-E and FV-F Pay Bands. If this position is filled at the FV-E pay band level incumbent may be promoted to the next level without further competition. However, the grade of a position is based on the duties officially assigned and actually performed by the incumbent of the position. These duties are affected by the Supervisor’s willingness to delegate higher graded duties and incumbent’s capacity to perform the duties. Therefore, the indication of maximum grade is to be considered neither a guarantee nor a commitment that the position will so develop. This position may be filled at the FV-E or FV-F level; Identification of promotion in the vacancy announcement does not constitute a commitment or an obligation on the part of management to promote the employee selected at some future date. Promotion will depend upon the selectee meeting training, qualification requirements, higher level work being available and recommendation by the supervisor. Serves as a Management and Program Assistant in a Flight Standards District Office performing a combination of routine, multiple, and varying assignments under the limited direction of the Field Office and Frontline Management team.
