Specialized experience is defined as experience in detection, identification, field evaluation, render safe, recovery, removal, mitigation and disposal of suspected improvised explosive device (IED), explosives and ammunition; and conducting investigations; and providing technical advice and recommendations on criminal acts, terrorist acts and post blast scenes. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. All qualifications must be met at the closing date of this announcement.
The mission of the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) is to provide force protection, security, and law enforcement to safeguard personnel, facilities, infrastructure, and other resources for the Pentagon Reservation and designated DoD facilities (hereinafter referred to as “the Pentagon Facilities”) within the National Capital Region (NCR).
