All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-10/29/2024-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. For current Federal employees, if hours worked per week are not included on your resume, you must submit a non-award SF-50 for each federal position listed as part of your application to be used to validate your work schedule and determine the amount of qualifying experience that you will be granted. To qualify for this position at the GS-09 grade level, you must possess of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: participating in determining the condition of park assets, including annual/comprehensive/parametric assessments, lifecycle assessments, and daily work findings using established guidelines,; preparing statements of work for park projects; serving as a Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR); observing contractor progress and quality of work to ensure contract specifications are met; using database management programs in order to maintain data and synthesize information into graphic and other report formats; preparing and presenting reports to management from software programs for park operational, fiscal, and planning purposes; and working with park staff in developing park facility projects. . You must include hours per week worked. -OR- EDUCATION: Successful completion of at least a master’s or equivalent graduate degree, or two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in engineering, industrial arts, property management, information management, business administration or another field of study directly related to the duties of this position. I possess six months of specialized experience (50% of the experience requirement), and 27 semester hours or 41 quarter hours of directly related graduate level education in an accredited educational institution (50% of the qualifying education). This position is located in Death Valley National Park, in the Maintenance Division and is permanent full-time. This position could either be filled in Death Valley, California or Pahrump, Nevada. There is only one position to be filled and can either be filled at the GS-9 or GS-11 at one of the locations.
