Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Basic Requirement for GS-0401 series: A. Degree: Bachelor’s degree (or higher degree) in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR B. Combination of Education and Experience: Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. AND In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the equivalent GS-12 level which includes experience executing the operation and maintenance of multi-purpose water resource projects to include flood risk management, water supply, water quality, environmental stewardship, and recreation; supervisory experience applying financial, administrative, and personnel policies, programs, and regulations; experience at the leadership level working with the public, government agencies, organizations and the media; or other experience that is in or related to the position being filled. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone–no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Contract Administration Financial Management Leadership Natural Resource Management Program Outreach Program/Project Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
