CONTRACT SPECIALIST

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of SPECIALIZED experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Scheduling, processing, administering, and reporting all procurement actions that are planned to be executed by the team; 2) Leading teams in planning, preparing, and executing assigned contract actions; 3) Negotiating contract price, terms/conditions, administration, and ultimately the award of hardware sole source major weapons systems contracts; 4) Planning, advertising, negotiating, and awarding procurements; and 5) Guiding and leading individuals and teams in large major weapons system procurements with a thorough understanding of large contracts, contracting policy, and regulations.
