Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability to Lead or Supervise (SCREEN OUT) The Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor is able to perform the full range of Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor tasks listed under close supervision. The Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor performs duties such as: (1) leading workers in proper trades and labor methods in the maintenance and repair of facilities; (2) instructing others in the plans, blueprints, materials, and tools needed to maintain historic non-residential structures; (3) performing with installation, maintenance, repair and construction work in building maintenance trades, such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, HVAC, roofing and/or painting; (4) complying with safety program directives to ensure a safe work environment. Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading) Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc. Knowledge of Materials Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic) Use of Measuring Instruments If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration. This position is located in Grand Canyon National Park, in the Facility Management Division, North Rim duty station.
