Sets the example of professional quality related performance. Implements methods that allow individual technicians assigned to perform at continually higher levels of quality while maintaining cost and schedule performance. Communicates performance standards and provides performance evaluations and feedback to subordinates. Supports the economic operation of the MARCC’s mission. Plans the sequence of operations for those supervised, as well as interpret procedures, policies, SOPs, and job orders. Makes estimates of tools, materials, and equipment required for work under their supervision and submits requests for items as needed. Plans the division of workload among employees based on the capability of available manpower, materials, and equipment. Determines and executes manpower requirements for various work operations and establishes work schedules methods and policies consistent with those established by higher levels of supervision. Communicate effectively with customers, superiors, and assigned employees/technicians. Examines jobs to determine those that must be worked concurrently and those that may be delayed. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. You will serve as an ELECTRONIC MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENT MECHANIC SUPERVISOR I in the CALIBRATION LABORATORY BRANCH of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
