FITNESS SPECIALIST NF-3

U.S. Marine Corps - Department of the Navy

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Fitness or a related field appropriate to work of the position. Possess a minimum of one years’ experience within the health/fitness industry. Possess and maintain a basic level certification from a nationally recognized and accredited certifying organization. Knowledge of established exercise physiology principles, concepts and techniques to plan and conduct fitness testing, interpret results and develop effective fitness plans. Skill to work with patrons with risk factors and or who may have been referred to by a physician. Able to demonstrate knowledge of and skill to administer health screenings, fitness assessments, functional assessments, exercise prescriptions, progressive individual fitness plans, and proper exercise techniques. Possess a current CPR, AED, and First Aid certificate from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or obtain within 6 months of hire. Possess Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification or obtain within 6 months of hire. ALL DEGREES AND CERTIFICATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED WITH APPLICATIONS FAILURE TO ATTACH REQUIRED DOCUMENTS WILL NOT RECEIVE A COMPETITIVE SCORE.
