Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Motor Vehicle Operator without more than normal supervision. I can operate and drive semi-trailer units and tractors to transport needed supplies, materials, and equipment throughout the depot and to various off depot destinations. I can load, arrange, and secure cargo to prevent shifting or falling while the vehicle is in transit. I can follow all instructions, traffic laws, standard operating procedures and safety regulations. – Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (Screen-out Element) Ability to Drive Safely (Motor Vehicles) Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (Related to Mobile Equipment Operation) Ability to Operate Safely (Non-motor Vehicles) Operation of Motor Vehicles Reliability and Dependability as a Motor Vehicle Operator Work Practices (Including Keeping Things Neat, Clean, and in Order) Physical Efforts: Work requires reaching, bending, turning, and the moving of bands, arms, feet and legs to operate vehicle controls. There is frequent lifting or pushing items weighing up to 20 pounds and occasional handling of items weighing in excess of 50 pounds. Working Conditions: Incumbent works outside in an enclosed cab. Is exposed to weather conditions and to all types of traffic where there is possibility of serious accidents. The operator is subject to cuts, bruises and broken bones as a result of accident or when loading or unloading vehicle.

About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.
