GS-13: To qualify at the GS-13 grade, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level performing the following: providing authoritative policy interpretations and functional recommendations in the implementation of new legislative and regulatory requirements; advising program leadership on regulatory requirements, financial policies, interpreting data, and improvement in operations; and coordinating the resolution of accounting system problems; managing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating the delivery of programs. GS-14: To qualify at the GS-14 grade, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level performing the following: developing and implementing financial policies or procedures for a program or organization; researching, compiling, analyzing, and summarizing data concerning financial operations problems; providing technical advice, guidance and recommendations for new financial management systems and preparing financial reports and presenting informational material on financial, accounting, or budgetary issues to senior level agency officials for review and evaluation. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the announcement closing date. Preference in filling vacancies is given to qualified Indian candidates in accordance with the Indian Preference Act of 1934 (title 25, USC Section 472). Additional selections may be made from this announcement if identical vacancies occur in the same location within 90 days from the closing date. The full performance level of this position is GS-14.
