SUPERVISORY CONTRACT SPECIALIST

Your resume must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing Contract Specialist work. Specialized experience is defined as applying a mastery knowledge of contracting advisory services to ensure regulations and requirements are met, and must include all of the following: (1) Demonstrate utilizing a knowledge of Federal, DOD and DON contracting laws, regulations, principles and procedures, contracts and provisions to provide guidance and leadership to Contact Specialists and other subordinate personnel; (2) Utilizing knowledge of methods of contracting applicable to the acquisition of supplies, personnel, and non-personnel services to develop acquisition solutions; (3) Managing multiple contracting projects to ensure Program goals and objectives are met; (4) Analyzing existing policies and procedures to develop and implement improvements and extend existing contracting techniques; (5) Communicating orally and in writing to collaborate across organizations to reach concurrence on processes, projects, and desired outcomes.
