FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

For GS-11 level, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following: 1) Performing and or advising on work in any phases or systems of budget administration; 2) Formulating budgets and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities; 3) Reviewing and evaluating budget resources; control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures; 4) Developing, determinations, and interpretations of budgetary policies and practices; and 5) Analyzing and recommending costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of programs and administrative operations. For GS-09 level, Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following: 1) Applying financial management theories, practices, methods, and techniques to accomplish budgetary assignments; 2) Interpreting cost account categories, lines of accounting and appropriations in budget formulation; 3) Reviewing budget resources, obligations and expenditures; 4) Interpreting budgetary policies and practices; and 5) Recommending costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of programs.
