To qualify for the GS-14 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level defined as described as structuring, negotiating, and/or documenting large public and project finance infrastructure loans pre-closing to ensure compliance with established policies; leading teams for financial projects; and evaluating credit packages to make recommendations to senior leadership. Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of statutes, regulations, and policies related to the financing process. Skill in conducting credit analyses to determine financing eligibility. Skill in written communication. Ability to determine the appropriate loan terms and conditions. Ability to provide guidance or counsel to other specialists related to financial processes. Skill in project management. Skill in reviewing financial projects for quality. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. These positions are in Office of Water (OW), Office of Wastewater Management, WIFIA Management Division, Credit Analysis Branch. About OW: OWs site. About WIFIA: WIFIA’s site.
